Special Dog/Mommy time!

I'm just waiting for Kalvin to wake up from his nap (he's already been sleeping 3 hours!) I thought I'd cuddle with Vera and take some pictures of us! She was mighty happy to sit on my lap! She wasn't shy about crawling right up!

My parents beagle, Roma, wasn't so happy about all Vera's attention!

PS...Any tricks for keeping my eyes open for pictures???? I'm thinking eyelid removal surgery maybe?
